MARCH 2009 - Cecelia Farrow: Triplejump.....CONFIRMED!!!

25th / 26th March

On a whistlestop tour of the South Island in March 2009, we are delighted to confirm that Cecelia Farrow will be speaking in both Marlborough (Wednesday 25th March 2009) and Nelson (Thursday 26th March 2009), and we cannot wait to host her!

We invite you to hear Cecilia Farrow talk about the role of unpredictability in business ventures.  Cecilia is the Founder and Managing Director of Triplejump. New Zealand’s first independently owned franchise insurance business that specialises in helping business owners protect their wealth against Human Capital Risk.

Ask Jeremy Moon, the founder of Icebreaker, how his business began and he will say, “By accident”. A friend introduced him to a high country merino farmer who showed him some underpants. Now, 13 years later, Icebreaker exports to 24 countries and purchases 20% of New Zealand’s merino clip.

Every business has its defining moments, but often we can’t see them coming. Because life is so unpredictable Triplejump believes that what you don’t know may be more significant to the success of your business than what you do know. The secret is to anticipate the unexpected.

With 62% of Business Owners believing their business would fail without them it pays to anticipate and plan against Human Capital Risk.

Triplejump was launched in January 2007 and now has 15 Franchises throughout the country. Cecilia will also share how she went about creating Triplejump and will provide valuable advice for those wishing to take the same step.

Cecilia has had the prestigious honour of being named financialalert Person of the Year 2007.  The award recognizes outstanding contribution to New Zealand Financial Services.

Recently, Cecelia has also been recognised by Her Business Who's Who Magazine 2008 as one of New Zealands leading Entrepreneurial Women.
